Insurance and Employee Benefits Firm Benico, Ltd. Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Huntley, IL (PRWEB) April 6, 2008 -- John and Pam Garven, owners of Benico, Ltd., are pleased to announce the 25th anniversary of their firm's incorporation. Prior to incorporating their business on April 6, 1983, the Garvens operated their business beginning in September of 1981 under the DBA of The Greater Northern Illinois Group.
A Quick History
John and Pam, who were both born and raised in Lake County, Illinois, moved their firm's offices from Waukegan to Arlington Heights in March of 1983. From 1983-1990 Benico was associated with a commercial property & casualty firm known as Assurance Agency, and it was there that John was instrumental in starting up this other firm's employee benefits practice from scratch. Following John's tenure with Assurance Agency, Benico's offices were relocated to the Northwest Corporate Center in Hoffman Estates where the firm rented space from 1990-1993. From 1993-1997 office facilities were leased in Hampshire, and, finally, in December of 1997 the Garvens moved their firm's offices to permanent owned facilities at 11715 E. Main Street in Huntley.

Personal information
The Garvens have lived in Huntley since 1993, and have been married for 31 years. The couple's daughter, Krista, son David, daughter-in-law Ivette, and two grandchildren, Jazmin and Christian, all live in the area.
Concerning their community involvement, the Garvens serve as lay pastors at Morning Star Church in Huntley. Also, John has been active over the years in the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry, is a former member of the board of Consolidated School District 158 in Algonquin, and is a member of several professional associations, including the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Profit Sharing/401(k) Council of America (PSCA).
